I have a wealth of clinical experience draw from a range of models, such as cognitive behavioural therapy, interpersonal psychotherapy and psychodynamic psychotherapy. This allows me to develop the best approach based on individual need.
I offer comprehensive assessment and treatment for a wide range of mental health difficulties, such as: ~Depression ~Stress Excessive Worry ~Phobias ~Relationship Problems ~Sexual Problems ~Childhood Trauma ~Bereavement ~Eating Problems ~Low confidence and Self-Esteem.
Therapy involves meeting regularly to develop understanding, try out new strategies and seeing if a psychological approach is helping. Treatment length can vary according to what is needed - it can be anywhere from a one-off meeting to over 18 sessions. It may also require occasional follow-up sessions to keep a focus on change and progress in the long-term. The first one or two sessions are used to clarify the kind of help that is required and to develop a treatment plan to address the difficulties you have been having. I use a supportive and collaborative style which encourages people to relax and able to progress at their own pace.
