Then further training in Self-Compassion Practice with Dr Kristen Neff and Chris Germer. She has been teaching the 8 week Mindfulness Based Living course regularly for the last 2 years. Sally enjoys weaving together Yoga and Mindfulness to enhance the mind-body experience. She is available for one-to-one sessions to give support on a physical, mental or emotional level.
The Scaraveilli-Inspired Yoga approach is not about achieving perfect posture but rather practising postures as a way of undoing tension and finding integration. Our strength develops with fluidity and grace. The Yoga leaves us feeling centred, energised and more at peace with ourselves and our daily life. This mindful and compassionate approach is ideal for those who want to resolve a pain or restriction in the body or for those who want to explore ways of moving which will serve them well throughout their life. The Not So Fit Yoga Class is a mindfulness based class where you can choose to move in a chair during part or all of the class. Ideal for those with limited mobility, those with aches and pains , people who would love a good nights sleep & for anyone wanting to make peace with hamster wheel mind.
In essence the practice is to bringing 'kind awareness' to what is happening in the present moment, without judging it or trying to change the experience. A growing body of scientific research is showing the multiple effects of Mindfulness on the brain and body including reducing stress, anxiety and depression, supporting the immune system, alleviating a range of stress related conditions and helping with the management of chronic pain. The 8 week Mindfulness Based Living Course includes a retreat day during the course, a follow up day and a One-to-One. Subsequent 'Practice Days' offer support to help you sustain a Mindful life.
